Maternity photography is one of my passions, and I love when I get to do a shoot where the mama is up for anything. As a Grass Valley maternity photographer, I have so many magical places to choose from for shoots. My beautiful mama wanted to head to Empire Mine, for its stunning backdrop, so that’s just what we did. Sometimes weather this time of year can be tricky, but we got lucky with a mild winter day. The sun was even kind enough to make an appearance towards the end of our shoot!
I met Larissa, Randy, and little Jack at the Mine, and we made the most of our time there. I just love shooting here, because there are so many beautiful backdrops, but what I think really shines through here, is the love this little family shares. It was fun connecting with Jack and talking to him about becoming a big brother. He is definitely looking forward to loving on his little sister. I also love the sweet shots of Larissa and Randy- it’s so nice to capture parents connecting, since it’s not something there’s a lot of time for when little ones are in tow!
After our family time, Larissa and I had some fun with maternity gowns. She is such a stunning pregnant mama, and was so inspiring to shoot! I didn’t want to stop posing her, lol. I love creating these images for expecting mamas, and making sure they see how radiant they are!
Now I get to not-so-patiently wait for their little bundle to arrive for our newborn session!
