This time of year, people start talking about Valentines day. I’ve always had a problem with the forced gestures and commercial driven nature of the holiday. I do however, love that it reminds us to show those who are dear to us how much we care. With that spirit in mind, HMP is announcing the LOVE Photography project- to bring a little more love and light to the world this winter, with a twist. This project isn’t about our partners, it’s about our children, and our bottomless love for them.

Becoming a mother is life changing, and it’s a journey that really never ends. I love the complexity and depth of the mother-child connection. It’s kind of unexplainable, and so unique for each person. This winter, I want to celebrate that with the LOVE Photography Project. I want to capture the people who are least captured- mothers! And I want to capture them with their kids, having sweet moments that should be celebrated.

Want to participate or know someone who should? Read on….love photography project 3PINIMAGE

If you are a mom, or you know someone who is I want to capture you! Here’s the plan…

You fill out the questionnaire and tell me what mother love means to you. We’ll meet at a park, trail, or even your home. Each session will take 5-15 minutes, and will be just you and your little one(s) interacting and hanging out. I’ll be posting your quote along with a gorgeous image of you and your little one to celebrate YOU.

  • Moriah blue - Motherhood has challenged me in every aspect of my life, forcing an expansion that I didn’t always feel ready for, Its super intense trying to raise an awesome human in a concious way. It is deep presence and devotion. It is Exhausting. And it is awesome. So incredibly awesome. It’s the hardest and most beautiful thing I’ve ever done. I would do anything for my child and seeing him thrive and living with so much joy fills my heart with more light then I could ever have imagined possible.ReplyCancel

  • Katy Davis - Hi Laura. We have Leah, 6 years, and Piper, 6 days old. I’m not sure this is the application for the Love project but I couldn’t find anywhere else. Thanks!ReplyCancel

  • Willow - Motherhood has been the most empowering, challenging, life-changing adventure for me. It is a journey that I could not have predicted despite longing for it to begin. Some minutes are a journey that feel like a whole day, some days are a journey that feels like a fleeting, rushed moment. It is a privilege and a responsibility that I don’t take lightly – I know what it is to have it betrayed. I hope to give my children a trust in themselves and love for themselves that I never had. I hope that through this journey I will find it in myself too.ReplyCancel
